Detox Water

For months this “detox water” has been popping up on my Pinterest page.  Seems everyone is trying it and loving it.  Well add me to the list!

I took a gallon of filtered water and combined it with half a large cucumber chopped into 1/2 inch circles (peels on) and a heaping handful of mint.  Put it in fridge for an hour and then started to drink.

We have used a Brita for years so my water has always tasted fresh.  But today’s water was amazing.  Cool, crisp, hydrating.  You know, all the things you want in a water.  It was easier to drink more and it went through me much quicker.  Bonus, I had fresher breath because of the mint.  Double bonus, my daughter loved it! and kept asking for more.

Re-feed!

I can tell that I will be working for Sunday breakfasts during this 6 week plan!  On Sundays I get to indulge in fast-digesting carbs in the morning, and then slower digesting carbs in the afternoon.  Its definitely a change of pace since my carbs are limited during the week.
